Martin Willibald Meisl is an artist living in Vienna / Austria. He mostly works from an autobiographic context. This is especially evident in his inner-psychological works that process desires, sexuality and reflections on his own emotions, as well as their triggers. Elements such as dance, singing and shock create a special reality, leaving viewers in a state of unease.
In previous artistic years, he placed his bet on hyper-aesthetic films. Back then, he was especially inspired by sets of concerts and fashion films. Later, while he attended Bernhard Kleber's class on stage and film design at the Vienna University of Applied Art, Martin transformed these strong aesthetics into something raw – an amateur's stylistics to lead viewers especially close to the narrative.
