Toni Karat

Toni Karat is a queer and non-binary photographer and filmmaker from Berlin and works in the fields of queer porn and documentary film. Starting out with art studies with a focus on photography over producing music, Toni Karat's path eventually led to queer feminist porn:

Toni Karat completed a degree in photography and painting at the Art Academy Düsseldorf and at the Berlin University of the Arts. His/Her creative development also led to musical experiments, various bands and composing and producing his/her own music. In 2018, Toni Karat founded “melting point images – film and photo manufactory”, which focuses on queer feminist and artistic pornography, photography and documentaries. Toni Karat's films are shown at film festivals all around the world and are distinguished by their unique, artistic-experimental portrayal of queer intimacy and sexuality: Cinematography and complementary composed electronic music go hand in hand.
