Jennifer Lyon Bell graduated from Harvard as a trained filmmaker and curator specialised in explicit erotic films. Her now award-winning erotic films set high artistic, emotional and realistic standards that are also reflected in her independent film label Blue Artichoke Films. Her film-related skills turn her works into beautiful stories, which so end up becoming "erotic films for people who enjoy cinema".
Harvard graduate, erotic film creator and curator from Amsterdam, Jennifer Lyon Bell writes scripts and directs award-winning explicit erotic films that show authentic sexuality and meet high artistic standards. Her films have been shown at film festivals all over the world: from the US, to Europe and Japan. In addition to writing and directing, she curates film programmes and exhibitions in museums and art festivals with an erotic focus, including the Museum of Sex in New York, Ladyfest, Women Inc. and the San Francisco Indie Erotic Film Festival. She was one of the founders of the Rated X: Amsterdam Alternative Erotica Film Festival. In the meantime, she manages her own independent film label “Blue Artichoke Films”. Jennifer Lyon Bell also holds lectures and workshops on eroticism, pornography, feminism and film theory in various contexts, including the University of Amsterdam and the Dutch Film Academy.
